Approval Statistics
How to read and use the approval analytics dashboard
Navigate to Workflows, open a workflow by clicking its name, then open the Statistics tab to view approval performance metrics.
Dashboard Metrics
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Average Approval Time | Mean time from submission to final approval, per rule |
| Pending Approvals | Number of documents currently waiting for approval, by step |
| Approval Rate | Percentage of documents approved vs. rejected |
| Bottleneck Steps | Approval steps with the longest average wait time |
| Approver Activity | Number of approvals and rejections per user |
Filtering the Dashboard
Use the filter panel to narrow statistics by:
- Date range — e.g., current month, last quarter
- Document type — invoices, orders, requests
- Organizational unit — specific department or team
- Approval rule — specific workflow rule
Exporting Statistics
Click Export CSV to download the current view as a spreadsheet for further analysis.
Interpreting Results
- A high average approval time on a specific step may indicate the approver is overloaded — consider adding a substitute or redistributing the workload.
- A high rejection rate may indicate that documents are being submitted with insufficient information — review the submission form requirements.
- Bottleneck steps should be reviewed regularly to optimise the approval chain structure.
