Approval Statistics

How to read and use the approval analytics dashboard

Navigate to Workflows, open a workflow by clicking its name, then open the Statistics tab to view approval performance metrics.

Dashboard Metrics

Average Approval TimeMean time from submission to final approval, per rule
Pending ApprovalsNumber of documents currently waiting for approval, by step
Approval RatePercentage of documents approved vs. rejected
Bottleneck StepsApproval steps with the longest average wait time
Approver ActivityNumber of approvals and rejections per user

Filtering the Dashboard

Use the filter panel to narrow statistics by:

  • Date range — e.g., current month, last quarter
  • Document type — invoices, orders, requests
  • Organizational unit — specific department or team
  • Approval rule — specific workflow rule

Exporting Statistics

Click Export CSV to download the current view as a spreadsheet for further analysis.

Interpreting Results

  • A high average approval time on a specific step may indicate the approver is overloaded — consider adding a substitute or redistributing the workload.
  • A high rejection rate may indicate that documents are being submitted with insufficient information — review the submission form requirements.
  • Bottleneck steps should be reviewed regularly to optimise the approval chain structure.
